Swim Lessons for kids in Franklin, TN

Hi, my name is Katie Widmaier. I am a wife and a mother to 4 pretty incredible kids ages 20-9. I have worked with children for the past 25 years teaching in several capacities; in a classroom, Sunday school room, a gym (gymnastics), and a pool. I previously taught swimming while I was in college and in my early twenties, and recently began teaching again.

Some of my best memories as a child involved playing in the pool for hours at a time, and I want every child to have the opportunity to develop that same love of the water. As a parent, I now have an even deeper passion for water safety. My goal for every child is to have the skills they need to reach a place of safety when needed, and an awareness of the water to avoid panic or fear. This is my highest priority!! And I am sure we will have some fun in the process!

I offer semi-private lessons with a ratio of two children to instructor in the pool at a time. Each lesson is 30 minutes in length for two consecutive weeks (Monday-Friday).

I have found 10 lessons is the minimal time to develop proficiency and comfort in the water.

I offer two types of lessons:

Private lessons: (In neighborhood pools) Each session will be 10 lessons over 2 consecutive weeks. Each lesson will be 20 minutes of one on one instruction. The cost is $275 per session.

Small group lessons: These lessons have 3-4 students with 2 instructors. The sessions will be 10 lessons over 2 consecutive weeks. Each lesson will be 30 minutes. The cost is $250 per session.
